Less Than a Fairy Tale

I am the first one to admit that I love T-Swift. Her sweet personality, impeccable style and catchy song lyrics never cease to impress me. Last night on the 52nd annual Grammy awards, Taylor took home four awards including album of the year beating out big hitters such as Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Dave Matthews Band and The Black Eyed Peas. Fearless, the 20-year old’s second album is filled with catchy songs that cross the pop/country threshold with ease.
However, Swift’s live performances on the other hand, are another story. The young singer had an opportunity to share the stage with one of her idols, Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks. It was embarrassing to say the least. Swift was pitchy during the classic Fleetwood Mac song “Rhiannon.” Granted, I suppose it could have been Nicks who was off key, but I highly doubt it. Afterward, Nicks shook her signature tambourine and sang back up on Swift’s “You Belong with Me.” Growing up in my household, I became a Fleetwood Mac fan in the womb and seeing the original Gold Dust Woman sing backup seems disrespectful. If you’re hesitant to take my word for it, watch this clip of the duet:
